Psalm 122 says….

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

When i was in Israel, i was fully convinced as a pastor that Judaism is so central to Christianity that there is no salvation without it. And Jesus Christ is so central to Judaism that there is no salvation without Him. It is not arrogant for Christians to say to Jews: “We have no hope without your heritage and your Messiah, and neither do you.” In fact, even though it is perceived as offensive by many Jewish people, the call for prayer that Israel would believe on her Messiah is a profoundly loving act. For “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:12). That is why the apostles prayed, “My heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved” (Romans 10:1).

I will therefore urge you to be part of this Intercessory Prayer Movement- IPM, Dubbed “PROJECT JEWS FOR JESUS”. Through this prayer movement, we want to see our friends and brothers come to know the Lord, and also God’s protection over the city of Jerusalem in particular and Israel as a whole.
